If you find yourself paralyzed by headlines about global pandemics and climate change, take heart — if Disney‘s updated theatrical release calendar is any indication, the entertainment giant is betting heavily on the world lasting at least through 2024. And since this lineup now includes four new 2024 Marvel movies, we can while away the intervening years with rampant speculation.

Since it’s never too early to sort out your Google Calendar, here are the four announced release dates for the Untitled Marvel movies:
“Untitled Marvel” #1 is scheduled on 2/16/24
“Untitled Marvel” #2 is scheduled on 5/3/24
“Untitled Marvel” #3 is scheduled on 7/26/24
“Untitled Marvel” #4 is scheduled on 11/8/24
While the list of contractual obligations has become a lot murkier in the era of Disney+ and direct-to-streaming releases, one suspects at least one of these will be the much-anticipated Captain American spinoff. Following the success of “Captain Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” it was announced that Anthony Mackie would be headlining a Captain America movie under former showrunner Malcolm Spellman.
Of course, now that Marvel has jumped face-first into the multi-verse, it’s hard to imagine anything is theoretically off the table. Is it possible that these new films could bring back dead or retired characters? Does 2024 mark the beginning of Phase 5 of the Marvel cinematic universe? Or will we simply see more add-ons from characters introduced in Phase 3 and Phase 4, including Captain Marvel and Shang-Chi? It seems only time can tell.
