If there has been one distinct thread through The Weinstein Company's marketing campaign for "Killing Them Softly," it has been an array of terrifically stylized one sheets for the movie. But whether that translates into audience interest or box office success remains to be seen.
The new batch follows in the footsteps of its predecessors, tying together the themes of violence and capitalism in America with some impressive artwork. As you already know, the picture reteams "The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford" director Andrew Dominik with star Brad Pitt, in a biting, funny and cynical picture that is as much about economic and moral decay as it is about two guys who jack a high-stakes poker game run by a local gangster.
All you really need to know is that it's great and when it opens on November 30th, you should do what you can to see it. [Vice]
