50 Cent & Vanessa Hudgens Join John Cusack & Nicolas Cage In Serial Killer Pic ‘The Frozen Ground'

Okay, casting gods. You win. As if putting John Cusack and Nicolas Cage in the same film wasn’t enough, now the Anchorage Daily News (via Shadow & Act) reports that 50 Cent is adding his questionable talents into the mix for “The Frozen Ground” for what is now a must see movie. Cage + Fiddy? Sign us the fuck up.

Written by Scott Walker, who will also make his directing debut, the film is based on the real life killer/predator Robert Hansen, who over the course of twelve years abducted, tortured and raped over twenty four women, flying them to the Alaskan wilderness and hunting them down before killing them. Cusack will play the killer, while Cage will take the role of a “principled and dedicated” Alaska State Trooper who comes across a teen who is a survivor, and together they track down Cusack. As for Curtis Jackson, he will play a “substantial role” according to producer Randall Emmett as a 1980s-era pimp. It will be a real stretch for the actor. Also coming aboard is Vanessa Hudgens who continues to try and break out of her “High School Musical” mold, taking on the role of the escaped victim who helps the authorities find the killer.

Cusack, Cage, Fiddy, Hudgens? What could possibly go wrong? The rapper will throw his name on the picture as a producer — always the sign of a quality movie — and the production will shoot on location in Alaska. In the meantime, you can catch up with the straight-to-DVD “Set Up” to see Fiddy at his finest.
