…and just when we thought we had put away our magic puns for a while with the release of “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,” another movie set in the Las Vegas world of magic is coming. Although, this looks like it will be much, much better. Louis Letterier could have one of the summer’s sleeper surprises on his hands with “Now You See Me” and some new promo material has arrived to try to weave a spell on you.
No matter what the movie was about, this cast would have us lining up any day of the week, with Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Caine and Melanie Laurent all featuring. The movie itself is about a group of magicians who are seemingly able to rob banks while they’re live on stage, but of course, their unique abilities put them in the crosshairs of some unsavory people. The movie has had a couple of trailers thus far, but the marketing campaign has yet to kick into full gear, though that’s likely to change very soon.
“Now You See Me” hits on May 31st.
