There are some movies that require an extensive ad campaign, and savvy marketing in order for potential "audiences" to get it. Others pretty much sell themselves. Guess which one Harmony Korine's "Spring Breakers" is?
Already earning all sorts of buzz out of Venice and Toronto last fall, and primed for a (still unspecified) spring release, a new poster has popped up overseas with the main selling points on full display. Young babez in bikins and James Franco looking ridiculous. The movie features starlets Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine as four college coeds who fund their spring break getaway by robbing a fast food joint. But their fortune changes when they're bailed out by Alien (Franco), an infamous local thug and amateur rapper who takes them under his wing. Featuring an original score by Cliff Martinez and Skrillex, there really shouldn't be anything else needed to convince you to see this.
