Jackie Cogan needs to hire a couple of guys to take down some low-lives who robbed a high stakes poker game controlled by the mob, but there's a problem. The economy is in the toilet and the squeeze is on, so he's only given the cash to contract one person, and Mickey is the guy for the job. Though he might not be in the best shape to pull it off.
Andrew Dominik's "Killing Them Softly" reloads to hit theaters this weekend and a new clip has arrived. In the scene we see Brad Pitt confronting James Gandolfini, whose character has arrived in New Orleans for the hitman job, only to spend his time in a haze of prostitutes and booze. And with people above him already looking for results, Jackie is less than pleased to have to motivate his man into action. It's a nice moment in a movie full of them, and it's a picture that this writer believes is one of the year's best.
"Killing Them Softly" opens on November 30th. Watch below.
