A photojournalist, aka an uber-annoying paparazzo was assaulted while attempted to follow the stoner-chic leading man Matthew McConaughey onto a Malibu beach on Monday.
Apparently a fight ensued after a group of rouge surfers confronted the photographer with an offer on the behalf of the actor, “I’ll give you a thousand bucks if you leave right now.” Being bound by the code of the paparazzi the young man had no choice but to hold his ground and fight for his right to invade others privacy, even after a “Point Break“-like ultimatum was thrown down, “We’ll draw a line in the beach, and we’ll fight for the beach. If you guys win, you can have the beach.”
Which was followed by a low blow from the surfers who suggested that the journalist “get a real job.” To which he replied “I have a real job. What do you do?” The surfers answer was simple and to the point, “I just drink beer and party.” Think the benefits are any good?
