Damn: Matthew McConaughey Joins 'The Wolf Of Wall Street'

Matthew McConaugheyKilling it. That's all we can say about Matthew McConaughey, who we hope gives his agent a helluva Christmas present this year, because the actor has been lining up one great project after another without stopping for a moment. After "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" in 2009, Mac took a couple years away from the multiplex only to return with this run of the films: the sleeper hit "The Lincoln Lawyer," Richard Linklater's best film in years "Bernie," William Friedkin's knockout "Killer Joe," Lee Daniels'…interesting…"The Paperboy," Jeff Nichols' fairy tale "Mud," and Steven Soderbergh's stripper flick "Magic Mike" (with Oscar talk already building up around his performance in that one). So what does Mac do next? How about working with Martin Scorsese.

The actor has joined the already star-studded "The Wolf of Wall Street." Damn. Penned by Terence Winter, the film will tell the true story of Jordan Belfort, a wheeling and dealing New York stockbroker who sees his career and personal life fall into shambles thanks to sex, drugs and alcohol. Mac will play Mark Hanna, an early mentor to Belfort, and joins the growing cast that now includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Rob Reiner, Jake Hoffman, Jon Bernthal, Cristin Milioti, Margot Robbie, Ethan Suplee and Katrina Cas

Filming kicks off this month, and we can't wait to see this. [Deadline]
