Watch: Kind Of Ridiculous Trailer For 'Silent Hill: Revelation 3D'

nullTo say that this movie isn't exactly in our wheelhouse would be an understatement. The only time we've ever talked about "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" has been in a feature about unnecessary sequels, and another about whether or not video games can make good movies. But it doesn't matter what we think, because there is a core of fans who enjoyed the first movie for whatever merits it supposedly had, and pushed it to over $100 million worldwide. A brand is a brand, and thus we have a sequel on the way.

The first trailer has dropped for the flick, and it looks like a CGI nightmare. "Solomon Kane" director Michael J. Bassett is at the helm this time around (he also wrote the script), with original stars Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean returning, along with "Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington and rising star Adelaide Clemens. What is it about? Hell, this writer doesn't know or care, but after some half-hearted Googling, it will revolve around Heather Mason finding out why she keeps having tripped-out breaks with reality since her childhood or something, all in glorious 3D. Either way it all looks a bit ludicrous, and that's certainly not helped by the dodgy special effects.

"Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" hits theaters on October 26th. Watch below. [Vlicious!]
