Sylvester Stallone & Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Face The Passion Of Jim Caviezel In 'The Tomb'

After playing Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson's notorious torture porn take on the man in "The Passion Of Christ," it seemed the career of Jim Caviezel needed a prayer. The actor mostly flitted around in a bunch of movies you didn't see like "Bobby Jones: Stroke Of Genius," "Unknown" (not the one with Liam Neeson) and "The Stoning Of Soraya M." He seems to be have a new lifeline thanks to the series "Person Of Interest" and now he's lined up what is easily his biggest role since he got up on the cross.

Producer Mark Canton recently visited The Matthew Aaron Show (via JoBlo) where he revealed that the actor has lined up a pretty juice gig in the upcoming Sly/Arnie action vehicle "The Tomb": "[Jim] Caviezel will be playing the role of the Warden of the prison in which Schwarzenegger & Stallone attempt to escape from." In case you forgot, the story follows Ray Breslin (Stallone), a security expert who designed an inescapable, high-tech prison only to be framed for a crime and locked up in it.  Arnie will play the standard hardened inmate with a heart of gold. As it is with most Arnie/Sly movies these days, this could go either way, either cheesily awesome or stupid.

Mikael Hafstrom is at the helm and film will presumably shoot later this year, or whenever Arnie and Sly have recovered from their bumps and bruises on "The Expendables 2."
