"The Movie With The Endless Marketing." Yeah, listen, we get it. The stories on the next effort from David Fincher seem to be endless, but when it's based one of the biggest-selling books of the last few years, promises a hard R-rated procedural in the midst of the holiday season and a potential star-making turn by Rooney Mara, it's hard not to be excited. And oh yeah, add to that a brand new score from Oscar-winning duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and well, what else do you want us to do?
Over at the NIN Official News Tumblr (via Pitchfork) comes two bits of information. Firstly, the outstanding cover art for the forthcoming soundtrack has been released, and second, as we predicted, Reznor's own Null Corporation will be releasing the disc in North America. For those of you outside the U.S., Mute Records will be handling the release, so don't worry, you'll still be able to get your hands on this one with ease. No tracklist yet or release date, but with Reznor previously telling fans to stay tuned for more news on December 2nd, we're guessing this one — like much of the marketing campaign — will be unveiled guerilla style.
"The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" hits theaters on December 21st.
