We’re heading into the last weekend of August, the end of the summer movie season more or less, and if you’re not digging the lean offerings from Hollywood you might want to look beyond the multiplex for something to see. If you live in New York City, BAMcinématek has kicked off a solid section of programming celebrating the 10th anniversary of Magnolia Pictures.
Starting this week and running until August 31st, 10 Years Of Magnolia Pictures brings together highlights from the film distributor’s catalog from their decade so far in the business and brings them back to the big screen, and we’ve got tickets to screenings of two of the biggest cult movies of the last few years. If you’re in Brooklyn and are available on Saturday, August 27th we’ve got a pair of tickets for a double bill of “Let The Right One In” (4:30 PM) and “The Host” (7 PM).
