Isaiah Mustafa — aka The Old Spice Guy — really, really wants to be Luke Cage in a big screen adaptation of the comic character. Just a few days ago, the actor dropped his own self-financed promo/pitch for the gig on the internet in the form of a trailer showing that he has the physique and presence to pull off the character. But little did we know, that the footage that was leaked to the web is only the smaller part of a much longer clip that was created.
We’ve received some details and behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot and the first thing is that the 40 seconds that leaked and hit the web is actually part of a much longer three minute clip that was put together that features more of a story and full score. Comprising two days of concept work, four days of pre-production and one, twelve-hour shooting day, the project was a labor of love by all those involved. The budget was under $10,000 and a few favors from friends helped keep the costs down.
You can take a look at some of the team and shots from set below. No word on if/when that three minute clip will hit but that bit of news should have fans salivating for more.
