Keith Richards To Be Cut From 'Pirates Of The Caribbean 4' Because Of Salty Memoir?

Shocker: He Used To Use Drugs

We think this rumor is most likely a pile of horseshit, but with Hollywood not playing very friendly lately with celebs who do bad things (unless your name is Charlie Sheen it seems) we suppose there could be some truth to it.

The Drudge Report is revealing that Disney executives are nervous about Keith Richards‘ highly anticipated (and well reviewed) memoir “Life” and are thinking of snipping his appearance in the upcoming “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.” The passage raising eyebrows (among many others) finds Richards crediting his systemic approach to drug taking (and the quality of the material) to not overdosing: “It’s not only the high quality of drugs I had that I attribute my survival to. I was very meticulous about how much I took. I’d never put more in to get a little higher. That’s where most people fuck up on drugs.” According to an insider, “They very well could end up cutting Keith out of the new movie over this.”

Yeah, something tells us that’s not gonna happen. It’s not like Keef’s drug use (and his unapologetic tone about it) is anything new to anybody. And it’s not like he’s advocating kids go do drugs either. He’s a rock star who at one point recklessly used and abused drugs, got cleaned up and still manages to be alive beyond all reasonable expectations. If anything, he should get a Nobel Prize and a parade. And kids saw Keef in the last ‘Pirates’ film and as far as we know, no 9 year olds became addicts because of it. But then again, this is Disney who have a very vocal, conservative fan-base (and executive board) who may make a ridiculously reactionary decision. So who knows.

All we know is Keef rules. How can you hate a guy who cheerfully recounts the story about the time he snorted his Dad’s ashes?
