Will Play Younger Harriet Vanger
It looks like Joely Richardson is getting a younger double. Sort of. Just Jared is reporting that Alexandra Daddario has joined the cast of David Fincher‘s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.”
The up-and-coming actress, probably most recognizable from her stint on the cable series “White Collar,” is getting a nice career boost landing the role of the younger version of Harriet Vanger, whose disappearance sets the story’s wheels in motion. This won’t be the only high-profile film for the actress in 2011 as she will also have a role in the ensemble Farrelly Brothers comedy “Hall Pass” along with Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, Jenna Fischer, Christina Applegate, Richard Jenkins, Stephen Merchant and J.B. Smoove.
And if that isn’t enough talent to knock elbows with at the catering table, Daddario joins the solid cast of ‘Dragon Tattoo’ which includes Daniel Craig as crusading journalist Mikael Blomkvist, Rooney Mara as computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, with Robin Wright, Stellan Skarsgard, Christopher Plummer, Joely Richardson, Steven Berkoff and David Dencik all on board. The film is currently shooting in Sweden and slated for a December 21, 2011 release.
