Given that the upcoming porn biz story “Middle Men” starring Luke Wilson looks just a cut above a direct-to-DVD movie, we’re a bit surprised the film is not only getting an official soundtrack release, but that it boasts a very expensive-looking tracklisting.
The Rolling Stones don’t come cheap, and we wonder how much of the film’s budget was spent on securing two of their biggest songs, “Sympathy For The Devil” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” Musician and vegan Moby gets a couple of cuts with “Honey” and “Body Rock” making appearances, while Outkast and 2Pac keep things street level with their respective hits “The Way You Move” and “California Love.” Some nice oldies tunes by Patsy Cline, Louis Prima and Tito Puente also appear while the likes of George Thorogood, Hall & Oates and Tears For Fears are also in the mix.
The soundtrack will arrive via ABKCO on August 3rd, a few days before the film opens on August 6th. The score by Brian Tyler (a couple of cuts which are featured on soundtrack release) will get a digital release on August 10th.
