Watch: 2 New Clips & Viral Ad For 'Wreck-It-Ralph'

nullIt was just last week that we were discussing the ability of “Wreck-It Ralph” to end the creative slump Disney’s internal animation division has been in for over a decade ever since the ascendance of Pixar — though the company has stumbled as of late — and now it seems the Mouse House is doubling down on the original animated film.

After the pleasant reception of its previous viral vintage-style ad, the studio has released another fake ad for another one of the games in the film, the Mario Kart-style racing game Sugar Rush Speedway. Although it isn’t as clever or as technically well done in terms of authenticity, the video is diverting enough.

Additionally, two new clips have arrived with one featuring the Halo and Metroid-esque “Hero’s Duty,” as well as Jane Lynch’s character, and the other featuring the bad-guy support group featured in the trailers. With clips this short, it’s a little hard to tell whether the film will lean a little too heavily in referential in-jokes or too far into cliche kid-film territory. Hopefully it lands right in the sweet spot that many of Disney’s films of yesteryear, and Pixar’s crazy streak in the late '00s, did. “Wreck-It Ralph” opens November 2nd. Check out the clips and ad below.
