So, Kanye West Might Be The "Creative Director" Of 'The Jetsons' Movie

Update: MTV caught up with producer Denise Di Novi who confirmed that yes, Yeezy is considering the project."Kanye's always been a Jetsons fan, I think because he's so into design and he loves the design aspects," she said. "So we had a fun brainstorming conversation."

"We heard that he knew we were working on the Jetsons," Di Novi also said, stressing that talks were early. "He reached out and said he's a huge Jetsons fan. There are a lot of Jetsons fanatics out there, especially people that are into either futuristic science or design. He was interested in creatively brainstorming what we were doing with the movie and what ideas he might have. It was a really friendly, preliminary conversation."

If you were anywhere near Twitter last night, you likely got wind of Kanye West's massive purging session on the social media site, and while we could spend all day digging up nuggets of the rapper's usually golden comments, there is one that Movieline noticed which is certainly…interesting.

"I was just discussing becoming the creative director for the Jetson movie and someone on the call yelled out.. you should do a Jetsons tour! This just happened a few hours ago. I was very insulted of course because for anyone that's seen the Watch the Throne Tour… Or Coachella or Glow in the Dark or Runaway… you know I have real ideas…," Yeezy tweeted.

On the one hand, bravo to whichever Hollywood executive realized that putting Kanye West in a creative position on a kids movie might just be the greatest idea ever. But it appears not everyone is so hip, as we truly feel some S.H.E. (Second Hand Embarassment) to the dummy who shouted out the truly terrible 'Jetsons' tour idea over the phone. Good lord dude, Kanye is not Spongebob Squarepants. Though secretly, the idea of Kanye packing stadiums full of five-year olds and kicking off the show by singing "Meet George Jetson!" in a futuristic space motif is potentially amazing/horrifying. But let's hope that touring comment doesn't cool Kanye's interest. Dude is an artist…let him create.

Anyway, a 'Jetsons' movie has been banging around Hollywood forever, and at one time Robert Rodriguez was lined up to do it, but decided to do his latest "Spy Kids" movie instead. But either way, it looks like phone calls are being made and Universal and Warner Bros. seem to have some ambitious plans for this.

For now, it's definitely worth a few moments to check out Kanye West's Twitter feed from his epic three hour marathon last night. He's philosopher, artist, designer, huckster and politician all rolled up into one fly package. And just for the hell of it, here's the video for "Runaway," which still fucking slays.
