While the stench is still lingering from this month’s rotten "Fantastic Four," the good news for the cast of the film is that very little of it has stuck on them. Rather, it’s Josh Trank and the studio who have borne the brunt of the stink, so it’s not a surprise that Miles Teller is rolling easily into a new high profile gig.
The Wrap reports that the actor is in early negotiations to star in the PTSD drama, "Thank You For Your Service." Once flirted with by Steven Spielberg, "American Sniper" screenwriter Jason Hall will make his directorial debut with movie, based on the book by David Finkel, that tracks three U.S. soldiers who struggle to adapt to home life after serving in Iraq. Here’s the book synopsis:
No journalist has reckoned with the psychology of war as intimately as David Finkel. In The Good Soldiers, his bestselling account from the front lines of Baghdad, Finkel embedded with the men of the 2-16 Infantry Battalion as they carried out the infamous "surge," a grueling fifteen-month tour that changed them all forever.

No word yet on when filming will begin, but presumably this is one that DreamWorks will want ready for next Oscar season.
