Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Chris Zylka, Margaret QualleyChristopher Eccleston, and Carrie Coon all return to the show, and first synopsis reveals we’re getting a time jump as we roll forward:

More than three years ago, 2% of the world’s population inexplicably vanished. 140 million people, gone in an instant. No country, no state, no city was spared, except for one small town in eastern Texas. Population: 9261. Departures: Zero.

I have to admit, that’s a great approach, which dips into the show’s supernatural side, and allows the writers to peer into the reasons of the disappearance…and why it’s not happening in this town.

"The Leftovers" returns this fall. Watch below.
