Warner Bros. "Harry Potter" quasi-prequel trilogy, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them," is obviously a big deal. Thus, it’s no surprise that every young actress and actor around Hollywood wants a shot at joining Eddie Redmayne in the film. And so, a lot of people are being eyed or testing. A lot.
Saoirse Ronan, Dakota Fanning, Lili Simmons, and Alison Sudol are in the mix to play Tina. Meanwhile, Kate Upton, Katherine Waterston, and Elizabeth Debicki are on the list for the role of Queenie. In case you forgot, the movie(s) are based on J.K. Rowling‘s book that’s set in New York 70 years before Harry even comes into the picture, and focus on Newt Scamander, a “magiczoologist.” And that’s not all, Steve Zissis, Zack Pearlman, and Dan Fogler are reportedly all in contention for Jacob, Newt’s nemesis of sorts.
As per usual, some or none of these people could get the roles, so don’t get too attached. The first installment of "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" will be directed by David Yates and arrive on November 18, 2016. [The Wrap/Justin Kroll]
