There are people who exude charisma, and then there’s Dwayne Johnson. His ability to charm you and pull you into his sphere is nearly unparalleled, and has been a big part of why he’s experienced so much big screen success. Now, bringing that force to cable in the HBO comedy series "Ballers," and the first trailer is here.
Co-starring Rob Corrdry, Omar Benson Miller, John David Washington, Donovan Carter, Troy Garity, Jazmyn Simon, and Arielle Kebble, the show finds The Rock playing superstar Spencer Strasmore as he gets his life on track in retirement while mentoring other current and former players through the daily grind of the business of football. Basically, this looks like the version of "Pain & Gain" we wish Michael Bay had made instead.
