ACE Eddie Awards Nominees Include 'Boyhood,' 'Gone Girl,' 'Inherent Vice,' 'Whiplash,' 'True Detective' & More

Ace Eddie Awards Nominees 2015Maybe you have the day off, are still recovering from New Year’s Eve, or are lucky enough to have a few more days to relax before returning to work on Monday, but the awards season can’t waste a moment. This morning, the American Cinema Editors gang revealed their nominees for the 65th Annual ACE Eddie Awards, and there’s a small bit of history-making going on in 2015.

For the second time ever, voting has resulted in a tie, meaning there are six nominees in the Dramatic category instead of the usual five. Meanwhile, the Comedy/Musical category also allows for more films to get recognized, even if come Oscar time they likely won’t make the cut ("Guardians Of The Galaxy," we’re looking at you). Over in the television category, "True Detective" dominates the Dramatic One-Hour series category with two entries, including the seminal episode "The Secret Fate Of All Life." And this might be the only time the words "Deadliest Catch" ever appear on this site.

Check out all the nominees below. The awards are handed out on January 30th.
