Casting: Steve Carell May Be A 'Nuisance' For Gore Verbinski, Keanu Reeves Goes Sci-Fi In 'Replicas' And More

And on the list might be "Gregory The Nuisance" from director Gore Verbinski. The comedy follow a a filmmaker who goes to North Korea, which is about it for the plot details, and it sounds (based on that very basic info) not unlike Seth Rogen and James Franco‘s upcoming "The Interview." Keanu Reeves is dipping back into the world of sci-fi with "Replicas." The actor will star in the Tanya Wexler-directed movie with the following logline: "After a car accident kills his loving family, a daring neuroscientist (Reeves) will stop at nothing to bring them back, even if it means pitting himself against a government-controlled laboratory, a police task force, and the physical laws of science themselves." Lifetime‘s "Marilyn" has found its lead. Kelli Garner ("Pan Am") will play Marilyn Monroe in a movie that chronicles the famed actress who "walks red carpets in shimmering gowns while fighting a battle against demons she’s inherited from her mentally ill mother Gladys (Susan Sarandon), whom she loves, hates and wants desperately to save. Marilyn becomes the Face and Voice of an era, yet wants most of all to be someone’s mother and someone’s little girl." The movie will air in 2015. [Deadline]
