Is it time to put on the conspiracy hats? Earlier this week, it was reported that Rotten Tomatoes was holding the reveal of the Tomatometer score for “Justice League” for their “Rotten Tomatoes See It/Skip It” Facebook show. Well, the program aired last night, and as of this morning, the site still doesn’t have any published reviews of the movie (here’s ours if you want to look). Reminder: Warner Bros. owns a small stake in Rotten Tomatoes. Just saying, it’s not a good look.

Well, we’ll spare you enduring “Rotten Tomatoes See It/Skip It” (it’s unwatchable, but if you must, stream it below) but the score is 43%. Yep, it’s bad. It places the movie above “Suicide Squad” (26%) and “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” (27%), but below “Man Of Steel” (55%) and “Wonder Woman” (92%). Indeed, you just have to look at the numbers to realize just how bad the run of DC Films have been to date, aside from “Wonder Woman,” which remains the exception to the rule.

The opening weekend for “Justice League” will still be big — diehard fans already bought their tickets, no doubt — but the impact of the Rotten Tomatoes will likely be on those who were on the fence. The second and third week dropoff might be bigger than the studio was hoping for. Judging by the critical response, it’s safe to say that many might decide to wait for “Justice League” to show up on Netflix.
