Vision And Scarlet Witch Visit Wakanda And See Their Unlikely Romance Tested In 'Avengers: Infinity War'

One of the most unique, if not a little creepy, relationships in the history of the Marvel Universe is between the android Vision and the very human Scarlet Witch. While to the layman, the idea of a robot and a human falling in love, getting married, and eventually having children seems ridiculous, in the world of comics, that’s just another Wednesday. Well, the world-at-large is going to get their fair share of android/human love in the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War.”

During a set visit last year, actors Paul Bettany, aka Vision, and Elizabeth Olsen, aka Scarlet Witch, were asked about their emerging relationship. “Vision’s been on this quest to understand what being human is and I think Scarlet Witch [has], in a large degree, helped him figure that out and what love is,” Bettany said.

Then, as the report says, Bettany breaks out into a familiar song, putting music to the relationship between Wanda and Vision. “I wanna know what love is!” Bettany doing his best Foreigner. “I want you to show me!” added Olsen, also singing.

Sadly, the two lovebird’s story is going to hit a rough patch early, as Thanos, the big purple alien villain of the film, comes looking for Vision, specifically for that Infinity Stone kept in his forehead. “It’s gonna be kind of a significant arc ’cause I got one of the stones in my head,” Bettany said. “There’s some really bad dudes who want the stone from my head and that’s a problem for Vision.”

While getting a piece of your head forcibly removed doesn’t sound fun, it looks like the actor talks about where he might go to recover, and “Black Panther” fans are going to be excited by the location. “These bad guys are trying to get the stone out of my head and so Wanda and I fought them off, and then we’ve ended up here for surgery,” Bettany said. “I always get confused on how much we can talk about, like are we allowed to explain what we try and do in Shuri’s lab?”

“No,” the Marvel publicist said.

“No, okay. So forget that bit,” Bettany said.

Olsen talks more about their relationship, and why, to her, it’s such an important part of the film. “It just feels like you have something really specific to work with all the time,” Olson said. “That feels nice. There’s an anchor point to everything, which is what you’re constantly looking for when you’re doing these movies. … You have your partner, your life partner with you by your side, and that creates a different kind of stakes, as well.”

And if this upcoming android/human lovefest doesn’t get you excited enough for ‘Infinity War,’ take a look at these new posters that were released. Marvel decided to go away from cramming a bazillion characters on one image, instead splitting them up over a variety of images.

‘Infinity War’ hits theaters April 27.
