There were zero surprises with the nominees in this category. Back in March we predicted the same five nominees from 2017 would return in 2018 and that’s exactly what happened. Sadly, we’re also convinced despite a record 12 nominations, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” will once again lose to “The Voice” (which earned 10 nods). The NBC staple simply has too much star power and, most importantly, ratings behind it. Then again, anything is Rupossible. [Updated July 17]
