Superman has one. Batman has one. Even Thor wears one. But Spider-Man just does not wear a cape. Even though Miles Morales thinks it would look cool. In the latest trailer for “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” we learn that capes aren’t for everyone, as we meet some of the Spider-people from other dimensions.
Obviously, ‘Into the Spider-Verse’ features Peter Parker, albeit an older version than what is swinging around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But the focus of the film isn’t on Peter, it’s on the newest Spider-Man, teenager Miles Morales. As Miles realizes that there are multiple dimensions, with multiple Spider-Folks, he meets a couple female versions, a noir version, and yes, even a pig called Peter Porker.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is attracting a lot of attention thanks to the introduction of Miles Morales in a big-screen affair, but also because the film comes from the masterminds behind “The LEGO Movie” and “21 Jump Street,” Phil Lord and Chris Miller. They may not have been able to get “Solo: A Star Wars Story” completed, but it looks like fans will still get some Lord and Miller goodness in 2018 thanks to this beautifully animated Spider-Man adventure.
“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” hits theaters on December 14.
