Without a doubt, Phil Lord and Chris Miller have earned the attention of film fans all around the world. These are the guys that not only proved that you could remake “21 Jump Street” into one of the best comedies of recent years, but also that a film, “The LEGO Movie,” about LEGO blocks could be sweet, emotional, and hilarious. Oh yeah, and they just won an Oscar for the incredible “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” Needless to say, any project with their names attached warrants a closer look.
And yes, that even includes a horror-comedy featuring bears.

According to THR, Lord & Miller have teamed up with the filmmakers known as Radio Silence for a new horror-comedy. The film is described as “ a unique bear-driven horror comedy — with heart.” If that doesn’t scream Lord & Miller, then I don’t know what does. The report claims that the film, based on a script by Jimmy Warden, is being pitched as “Good Boys” meets “The Revenant.” How can you not get excited about that?
Considering Radio Silence’s last film, this year’s underrated “Ready or Not,” this film is suddenly near the top of my most-anticipated list. But then again, I’m always a sucker for a really good horror-comedy, as much of the subgenre borders on cringe-worthy.
For those not familiar with Radio Silence, that’s the moniker given to the directing duo of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, along with producer Chad Villella. Previous to “Ready or Not,” the trio worked on projects such as “V/H/S,” “Devil’s Due,” and the anthology “Southbound.” Obviously, teaming with Lord & Miller is their biggest project to date.
No word on when we might see this film, but you better believe we’ll be following the development.
