Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' Will Arrive On 4K, Blu-Ray & Digital In December

The film hasn’t even officially opened in New York City or Los Angeles, but Warner Bros. has just announced that Christopher Nolan’s action film, “Tenet,” will be arriving on 4K, Blu-ray, and Digital in December.

Obviously, this is huge news for fans of Nolan’s films, but also those who have been waiting ever so patiently for the home release of “Tenet,” as many have avoided the film since it arrived in theaters in September. And judging by the fact that “Tenet” currently sits at $53.8 million domestically, there are a lot of people that decided to forgo the theatrical experience in favor of enjoying Nolan’s film at home, away from potential COVID-19 exposure.

Normally, the release date of a feature film on disc and/or VOD isn’t all that newsworthy, but “Tenet” is a rare case, indeed. Ever since the pandemic shut down theaters around the world back in March, Nolan’s film was the benchmark used to see when we might see cinemas open their doors again. And for the US, that didn’t happen until September. However, with COVID-19 infections spiking around the country, not all theaters were able to reopen, and hundreds (including damn near every Regal location) have remained closed. So, for many people, the disc/VOD release of “Tenet” is the first time they’ll have the opportunity to see what all the fuss was about.

Even though there will likely be a slew of extra features, the 4K release of the film will also include an hour-long featurette titled “Looking at the World in a New Way: The Making of Tenet.” And even if you’re a mild fan of the film, you’re probably still going to be interested in seeing just how Nolan was able to film this action epic, especially some of the later scenes.
