We are still a full year away from the highly-anticipated debut of “The Lord of the Rings” TV series on Amazon. But, in the meantime, if you still need your large-scale fantasy fix, the streamer has another offering for you in November, “The Wheel of Time.”
As seen in the trailer for “The Wheel of Time,” Robert Jordan’s iconic fantasy novel series is coming to Amazon Prime Video next month and tells the story of a woman, who is part of an organization of all-female magic users. She goes on a world-spanning journey alongside a ragtag group of people as they try to save humanity. You know, typical fantasy stuff.

Here’s the synopsis:
The Wheel of Time is one of the most popular and enduring fantasy series of all time, with more than 90 million books sold. Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.
