Seth Rogen Talks Invented 'Green Hornet' Villain

“There was no classic villain, so we had to create a villain,” Seth Rogen noted regarding Nicolas Cage’s antagonist in his adaptation of “The Green Hornet.” “[He’s] not over-the-top. We wanted him to be very scary… We don’t feel that that’s where the comedy in the movie should come from, necessarily,” Rogen told MTV. So those expecting a wild and nutty Nic Cage performance (that is if he does sign on officially) might be disappointed.

Meanwhile, the Comic-Con presence of ‘The Green Hornet” has been revealed as the unveiling of his crime fighter’s car, Black Beauty. Talk about a tease. The curtains will drawn 6.30 pm on the evening of July 22nd to throbbing male anticipation. If all goes according to plan, ‘Green Hornet’ will shoot in the fall and will hit theaters in July 2010.
