Could Jack Black and Jason Segel Cameo In Russell Brand's 'Get Him To The Greek'?

At a recent comedy gig at London’s O2 Arena, the audience was treated to a surprise announcement and a few special performances when Russell Brand announced filming for his upcoming film “Get Him To The Greek” would be taking place right then and there.

According to Digital Spy, before Brand would return on stage as his fictional character Aldous Snow and fictional band Infant Sorrow from “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” two very special guests came on stage for their very own performance. Jason Segel and Jack Black appeared and gave fans a rousing duet rendition of Segel’s “Dracula’s Lament,” also from ‘Sarah Marshall.’ Brand then followed the two with performances of Infant Sorrow’s hit single “Inside Of You” and a potential new single, “I Am Jesus.”

Taking into account their latest exploits, could Segel and Black also be having cameos in the film? While the two are currently in London filming for “Gulliver’s Travels,” the six degrees that separates the three may conveniently lead Segel and Black into Brand’s cameo-happy project. Segel has previously been revealed as a songwriter for Brand’s upcoming feature film and a quick cameo could be a possibility. Black, meanwhile, hasn’t worked with Brand before but is apart of the Apatow stable having had a cameo in the Judd Apatow-produced “Dewey Cox” as Paul McCartney and starring in the upcoming “Year One.” He is also renowned known for his musical talents with the band Tenacious D.

Here are low-quality videos of Segel and Black of performing “Dracula’s Lament” followed by Brand performing a new song titled “I Am Jesus.”

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Rose Byrne and Elisabeth Moss (TV’s “Mad Men”) just recently joined the cast which also c0-stars Jonah Hill. “Get Him To The Greek” has just began principal photography and is due out sometime in 2010.
