Tilda Swinton can do anything Tilda Swinton wants to do and so she’ll take on her most Tilda Swinton-y role yet: playing a cat. Yep, the actress will go full feline for Lynn Hershman Leeson‘s “The Infinity Engine.” Sounds weird, right? Well it is. The movie follows “a rebel talking cat that glows because she has genetic code from a jellyfish. The cat is on a search for freedom, enlightenment, and humane humans in the halls of a biotechnology company (the character is based on the famous glowing cat designed to study feline immunodeficiency virus and, as a result HIV/AIDS).” Okay. It will be Swinton’s fourth collaboration with Hershman following “Conceiving Ada,” “Teknolust” and “Strange Culture.” [Bent]
Catherine Keener, Kiernan Shipka, Anton Yelchin, Riley Keough and Annie Starke have all signed up for “The Greens Are Gone.” The story follows “a matriarch who is pushed to her tipping point over the disappearance of her son,” while she has “a bipolar daughter whose reality is warped in magical realism.” Peer Pedersen directs with filming to start in June.
