Nabbing awards at the Sundance and Cannes film festivals, with director Ryan Coogler making a big splash in Hollywood as a result (he also made our Breakout Directors Of The Year list), few filmmakers could ask for a better debut turn than “Fruitvale Station.” And while the buzz may still be around the movie as it vies for three Independent Spirit Awards (nominated for Best First Feature, Best Male Lead and Best Supporting Female), you might have missed it when it was in theaters. But we’re here to remedy that situation.
We’ve got a few prize packs consisting of a Blu-ray copy of the movie along with a poster signed by the director Ryan Coogler and star Michael B. Jordan. In case you’re still playing catch-up, the movie tells the tragic true story of 22-year-old Oscar Grant, following the events that led to him being pulled off a rowdy BART train at Fruitvale station in Oakland and shot in the back by police, dying from his wounds. So, how can you experience this film at home?
Email us with your full name and address, and tell us who plays Oscar Grant’s mother in the film. Good luck!
“Fruitvale Station” is in stores now.
Update: Contest closed, winners will be contacted via email.
