'Deadpool' Rated R For "Strong Violence, Language, Sexual Content And Graphic Nudity" Plus 4 New TV Spots

20th Century Fox has been spending a lot of time and money working the angle that “Deadpool” will not be your ordinary superhero movie. Indeed, Ryan Reynolds‘ character is foul-mouthed, sarcastic and isn’t afraid to kill anyone who gets in his way. Moreover, this isn’t the kind of movie you bring your kid brother or sister to. It will be “adult,” and while we knew the movie would be R-rated, we now just how far the material will go.

The official MPAA rating (via ComingSoon) reveals “Deadpool” has been rated R for “strong violence and language throughout, sexual content and graphic nudity.” Will fanboys rejoice? A rating has almost zero bearing on whether or not this movie will be any good, but certainly there are fans who will be heartened that Fox is letting director Tim Miller fulfill his vision.
