As far as pet projects go, Adam Scott‘s “Greatest Event In Television History” might be one of the most fun of them kicking around. Getting the idea to do overblown remakes of opening sequences for classic television shows, Scott launched the first “event” last fall, teaming up with reluctant and selfish Jon Hamm to redo “Simon & Simon.” It was a pretty amusing endeavor, with Jeff Probst hosting a TV special going behind the scenes of the shoot for the one-minute sequence, in pretty hilarious fashion. Well, Scott is back and this time he’s teaming up with his “Parks and Recreation” love interest Amy Poehler for another event that is even greater than the last one…
This time around, it’s the opening to “Hart To Hart” that’s getting the deluxe treatment, and as always, it’s the making-of stuff that’s the focus. From being shunned by Jon Hamm last time around, Scott this time is self-obsessed, working with a reluctant Poehler who doesn’t like him or respect him as an actor. It’s a nice reversal of their easy rapport on ‘Parks and Rec,’ and these two are just fun to watch, regardless. Lance Bangs and Adam Scott co-directed this one, which you can watch in full below followed by the original “Hart To Hart” credit sequence for comparison sake.
