We were so cheesed off with the heavy-handed manipulations of “Religulous,” we forgot to post about the film’s soundtrack. The Larry Charles/ Bill Maher laugh-at-you-mentary came out in early October, but the rock/irony heavy soundtrack doesn’t come out physically until October 21 (yes, it was out on Itunes starting September 30). We don’t remember that much about the soundtrack, but who could forget the use of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” and the Doobie Brother’s “Jesus Is Just Alright With Me” (both featured in the trailer) and the use of Bob Dylan (give us a break, guys) and the Talking Heads in the credits.
We’ve also got the exclusive list of all the songs featured in the film that aren’t on the soundtrack disc. The notables include: “Christ For President” by Billy Bragg And Wilco, “Lovie” written by Tony Daniels, and “Walk Like An Egyptian” by the Bangles. Too bad we can’t find a sample of Apollo’s “Party In My Pants,” it’s ridiculously stupid and sounds like it was written and sung by Borat.
