A couple months back, there was a minor stir about the apparent post-production woes facing Warner Bros. "The Legend Of Tarzan." Apparently "considerable work" was needed to get the movie into releaseable shape, and it was a problem that was compounded by director David Yates having already moved on to shoot "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them." But never mind the noise, because the first trailer has arrived. And as usual with these kinds of takes on classic characters, it’s getting a twist.

“It’s almost the opposite of the classic tale, where it’s about taming the beast,” Alexander Skarsgård told USA Today. “This is about a man who’s holding back and slowly as you peel off the layers, he reverts back to a more animalistic state and lets that side of his personality out.”
Margot Robbie, Djimon Hounsou, Samuel L. Jackson, and Christoph Waltz (once again, doing his villain thing) co-star in the movie that picks up with the civilized Lord Greystoke returning to the Congo where he was once known as Tarzan. And of course, adventure and romance await.
"The Legend Of Tarzan" arrives on July 1, 2016. Watch below.
