A Dozen New Photos Of Brit Marling, Ellen Page & Alexander Skarsgard In 'The East'

The East, Brit MarlingIt’s a testament to the talents of Zal Batmanglij and Brit Marling — the writer/director and lead star of the Sundance hit, “The Sound of My Voice” — that their indie thriller doesn’t look too out of place with its competition, especially during the crowded months of summer. The stylish thriller hits theaters at the end of the month, and a dozen new photos have arrived online via Fox Searchlight.

Directed by Batmanglij and co-written with Marling once again, the film follows a private intelligence firm operative who infiltrates an anarchist organization led by Alexander Skarsgard, only to find that things are more complicated than they seem. Our review from Sundance called it “stylish and sincere” and that it was “a terrific companion piece for anyone who enjoyed ‘Sound Of My Voice.’ “

You’ll be able to check out the film for yourself when it opens in limited release on May 31st.
