Adam Sandler Tops Forbes' List Of 2014's Most Overpaid Actors

BlendedAdam Sandler is probably eager for 2014 to wrap up. It has been a bumpy twelve months for the actor, who saw his big comedy reteam with Drew Barrymore, "Blended," open in third place at the box office with middling returns, while his indie attempts, "Men, Women & Children" and "The Cobbler," were even less well received. The former was critically trashed and had one of the worst limited-to-wide release rollouts of the year, while the latter received dreadful reviews out of TIFF and will arrive next year via Image Entertainment, not exactly the kind of name brand distributor Sandler is usually associated with. And now, to cap it all off, it turns out he’s a bad investment.

Forbes has rolled out their annual Ten Most Overpaid Actors list, and it’s an interesting look, because according to the site, many A-list stars don’t make sound financial sense. But it should be noted some folks are on here because of one misfire (Ben Affleck and "Runner Runner"), being a small part of a bigger flop (Tom Hanks and "Cloud Atlas"), or to the horror of studio accountants, simply being smart enough to sign up for backend deals on films that turned out to be lucrative (Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum).

Anyhow, see who Forbes deeds as a bad bet below, and see their full reasoning right here.
