Alice Braga, Abbie Cornish, Ben Mendelsohn & Sullivan Stapleton Lead 'Wolf Creek' Helmer Greg Mclean's 'Kill Me Three Times'

nullGreg Mclean didn't exactly replicate the success of his break-out horror flick "Wolf Creek" with croc-thriller follow-up "Rogue." And while it seemed he was set to shoot a sequel to "Wolf Creek" early this year, legal troubles have since delayed the production, with no end in sight. The delay, however, might just be a blessing in disguise, with the helmer now set to tackle a new Australian thriller with an exciting cast in tow.

ScreenDaily reports that international pre-sales will begin in Cannes this month for McLean's "Kill Me Three Times," a thriller that will star Alice Braga alongside the in-demand trio of Abbie CornishBen Mendelsohn and Sullivan Stapleton — the last two, of course, reuniting from their time playing brothers in David Michod's "Animal Kingdom."

It's quite the coup for McLean with the stock for all four actors on the rise: Braga and Mendelsohn are both visiting the Croisette soon for "On The Road" and "Cogan's Trade" while Cornish and Stapleton continue their American ventures this year with "Seven Psychopaths," "The Gangster Squad" and the '300' sequel.

"Kill Me Three Times" is set in the surfing town of Eagle's Nest and centers on a young woman (Braga) who is the thread that binds three tales of murder, blackmail and revenge. “From the moment Larry [Malin, producer] sent me the script, to the moment I breathlessly put it down with the words, ‘I must make this movie’ pounding through my mind, the project has become an obsession,” Mclean said. “To have such great actors on board is a dream come true.”

Lensing is set to begin later this year with Malkin producing with Tania Chambers and Share Stallings.
