'All The Old Knives' Trailer: Chris Pine Stars In A New CIA Thriller Coming To Prime Video This April

It remains to be seen if Chris Pine & Co. will indeed return for another “Star Trek” film. However, fear not, Chris Pine fans. The actor still has a slate of other upcoming movies, including 2023’s “Dungeons & Dragons” and a reunion with “Hell Or High Water” co-star Ben Foster in “The Contractor” on April 1. He’s also part of the cast of Olivia Wilde‘s next film, “Don’t Worry Darling,” out this fall. Add another Pine vehicle to that list: “All The Old Knives,” a CIA thriller that hits Amazon Prime Video in April.

In “All the Old Knives,” Pine stars as a CIA operative tasked with a mole hunt that gets him wrapped up with a former colleague and one-time lover.  

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

When the CIA discovers one of its agents leaked information that cost more than 100 people their lives, veteran operative Henry Pelham is assigned to root out the mole from among his former officemates at the agency’s Vienna station. His investigation takes him from Austria to England to California, where he is reunited with his one-time colleague and ex-lover Celia Harrison. The pair are forced to blur the lines between profession and passion in this riveting tale of global espionage, moral ambiguity, and deadly betrayal. 

“All The Old Knives” also stars Thandiwe Newton, Jonathan Pryce, and Laurence FishburneGala Gordon, Corey Johnson, Colin Stinton, and Ahd Kamel round out the main cast.

Danish director Janus Metz, who made 2017’s “Borg/McInroe,” shoots a script by Olen Steinhauer, adapting his own 2015 novel. “A Quiet Place” cinematographer Charlotte Bruus Christensen is also on board.

Between this and “The Contractor,” April brings a double dose of Pine time. Check out the trailer for “All The Old Knives” below, and catch it on Prime Video when it premieres on April 8.
