'It's Always Sunny' Season 13 Trailer: The Gang Shows Off Their Dennis-Shaped Hole To Fill

The Gang is back! Well, almost all of them, anyway. The upcoming season of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” is hitting FXX next month and in the newest trailer, we see just how Charlie, Sweet Dee, Frank, and Mac have figured out how to fill the Dennis-shaped hole in their lives.

As seen in the trailer, Mac literally buys a Dennis-shaped hole to fill. And that’s just the beginning. From the rest of the footage, we see the Gang tackle #MeToo and Time’s Up by going to sexual harassment training. Then, of course, we see the requisite cameos from fan-favorites like Cricket, Artemis, and the Waitress.

Needless to say, if you like ‘Sunny,’ then you’re going to eat up every second of this minute-long trailer. But if you think all the debauchery and raunch of the previous 12 seasons is a bit too much for your liking, you’re probably not going to find much for yourself in this footage. I mean, it’s ‘Sunny’ and that formula of taking sitcom tropes and pushing them through an alcohol, drug, and psychopathy-filled lens is still alive and kicking.

Whether or not you like “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” you have to hand it to Rob McElhenney and Co. for putting together an unlikely record-breaking sitcom. With FX picking up the upcoming season 13 and next year’s season 14, the series will tie “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” as the longest-running live-action comedy series in TV history. Obviously, when ‘Sunny’ debuted, the folks behind-the-scenes had no idea they’d be in such revered company, but here we are.

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” season 13 hits FXX on September 5.
