Nobody can disagree that Steven Spielberg is a dominant fixture in Hollywood and has been for the past 40+ years. It may come as a surprise—however—that Spielberg’s influence is not solely relegated to the catalog of great films that have his imprint on them in some shape or form. He is also one of the co-founders of the theme park Universal Studios Florida and created the popular “Medal of Honor” video game series. Spielberg also dabbles in TV, and, in 1985, he created an anthology show called “Amazing Stories” which showcased the talents of multiple Hollywood directors and ran for two seasons.

A new 10-episode series of the same name is set to make its television return, courtesy of Apple TV+. Spielberg is also returning to the show and joins the pair of Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis (“Once Upon a Time” & “Lost”), Darryl Frank, and Justin Falvey as executive producers. Reportedly, Mark Mylod—a director on “Game of Thrones”—is set to helm one of the episodes, and actors Edward Burns, Austin Stowell (“Whiplash” & “Bridge of Spies”), and Kerry Bishe (“Halt and Catch Fire” & “Scrubs”) will star in an episode as well.
