If you were to make a movie specifically designed to make The Playlist happy, it would look a lot like "A.C.O.D." Already set to star Adam Scott, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Richard Jenkins and Jane Lynch, the film has now added yet another awesome cast member.
Amy Poehler — Scott's co-star on "Parks & Recreation" where they play the politically campaigning and romantically involved duo Ben and Leslie — has now come on board the film. Awesome. Penned by "Lights Out" writer Stuart Zicherman, who is directing from a script he co-wrote with Ben Karlin ("The Daily Show," "Modern Family"), the story centers on Carter (Scott), a man scarred by his parents' divorce, who's forced to reunite them when his brother gets engaged. Jenkins plays Scott's father, while Lynch will play Dr. Judith, an author and therapist who used to treat Carter, who returns to her for advice. Winstead will play Scott's girlfriend, the foundation in his life, which is slowly going out of control. Poehler will play Jenkins' current wife who is bitter enemies with his ex-wife, who Deadline reports will be played by Catherine O'Hara. Okay "A.C.O.D.," we give up, you win. Poehler vs. O'Hara? We can't wait. Oh, and it seems Jessica Alba is in this too. Way to bury the lede, Deadline.
With 'Parks & Rec' now having shot the season finale, this one will roll in front of cameras very soon.
