Love is in the air. As they say, April showers bring May flowers, and that’s not just for nature either. As the fauna begins to blossom and the world becomes a little brighter, romantic feelings may flow freely. Therefore, lovey-dovey viewers may be in the mood for an upcoming feature all about love. If that is the case, little more speaks to cinematic intrigue with love than a French love triangle. Why not make it gay, too, just to spice things up a little more? Enter “Anais in Love,” a French romantic comedy with its second trailer now available to watch online.
Judging from the first trailer for “Anais in Love,” one thing that stands out is its usage of color. The bright but direct handheld cinematography is reminiscent of last year’s critically acclaimed Norwegian dramedy film “The Worst Person in the World” by Joachim Trier. Fittingly, both films directly center on how romance, affairs, and loving feelings of any kind can get as messy as it can be playful. With gorgeous-looking locales and a cozy-looking atmosphere, “Anais in Love” looks like a passionate and even possibly sweet feature to tug at heartstrings and flutter some butterflies in a viewer’s stomach. This new trailer offers another look into this new story of love.
