'And Just Like That...' Trailer: The All-New 'Sex And The City" Revival Hits HBO Max In December

It’s been over ten years since “Sex And The City 2” opened in theaters, and while that film was a commercial success, critical evaluation was, on the whole, pretty poisonous. Outside of a short-lived CW show, “The Carrie Diaries,” that served as a prequel to the original HBO smash-hit, the escapades of Carrie Bradshaw & company haven’t been heard of since.

Still, “Sex And The City” is an HBO sensation right up there with the likes of “The Sopranos.” If that show got “The Many Saints Of Newark” treatment this year, who says Carrie, Kristin, and Cynthia can’t also make a comeback (full disclosure: Kim Cattrall‘s Samantha Jones sits this one out)? “And Just Like That…” hits HBO Max this December as a ten-episode revival of the original series and looks to follow the further cosmopolitan adventures of Carrie and her friends. Now in their fifties, some things have certainly changed for the group; but as the old adage goes, the more things change…

Sarah Jessica Parker headlines as Carrie Bradshaw, with Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon also returning as Charlotte Goldenbatt and Miranda Hobbes. The new show also stars Sara Ramirez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, and Isaac Cole PowellChristopher Jackson, Ivan Hernandez, Brenda Vaccaro, and LeRoy McClain have recurring roles in the series, too.

Mario Cantone, Willie Garson, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, and Julie Halston return to reprise their respective roles from previous “Sex And The City” projects. Also back is Mr. Big himself, Chris Noth. Garson, who played Stanford Blatch in the original series, passed away this September and made his performance a posthumous one. Of course, the other big star of “Sex And The City” is Manhattan itself. The show was in production around NYC throughout this summer.
