Anne Hathaway Doing A One Night Only Concert In New York Plus New TV Spot For 'Les Miserables'

nullNo matter how "Les Miserables" is received, one thing will be clear by the end of the year — Anne Hathaway can sing. While there have been hints of her powerful pipes in the past, the Tom Hooper-directed Oscar contender will be the biggest showcase yet, but before that movie hits theaters, she'll be giving New Yorkers a sneak preview of her talents.

No, she won't be singing anything from the hit musical, but EW reveals that on October 24th the actress will take the stage at the Public Theater in New York for "Perfectly Marvelous: The Songs of Cabaret with Anne Hathaway and Friends." As the title suggests, the focus of the event (which is a fundraiser for the Public Theater) will be on songs from "Cabaret," the event will find Hathaway and friends performing "Willkommen," "Cabaret," "Maybe This Time," "Perfectly Marvelous" and more. Tickets are on sale now.

Meanwhile, a new TV spot has dropped for "Les Miserables," which, like the trailer, uses "I Dream A Dream" to sell what is looking more and more like a truly epic event this holiday season. The movie lands on Christmas Day, and it's one we're increasingly getting excited for. If this movie is a hit, we really hope that Judy Garland biopic she's been attached to gets moving… Watch below.
