Ansel Elgort, Brenton Thwaites & More In The Mix For 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'

The Fault In Our StarsEven though the release date is still three years away, Disney is ready to make a big splash with "Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales." The fifth entry in the creaky franchise has Johnny Deep returning again to receive a lot of money to wear eyeliner and pretend he’s drunk. There will also be some new young faces joining the party, and perhaps being passed the torch so that this blockbuster series never has to end.

Anyway, Deadline reports that Taron Egerton ("Kingsman: The Secret Service"), George Mackay ("Pride"), Brenton Thwaites ("Maleficent," "The Giver"), Ansel Elgort ("The Fault In Their Stars," "Divergent"), and Sam Keeley ("In The Heart Of The Sea") are all being approached to play Henry, the young lead in the sequel. That’s all the details there are for now, so we’ll leave it in the hands of agents and whoever else to hammer out the deals and tell us who will eventually take the role.

Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg will direct the movie, due in theaters July 7, 2017.
